After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin in 2009, Kristin went on to pursue a career in healthcare, completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UTHealth Houston in 2011.
She began her clinical practice in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Ben Taub Hospital within the Texas Medical Center, where she developed a strong foundation in critical care. Kristin later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from UT Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2015.
In 2016, Kristin joined Exceed as a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner, providing care for critically ill patients across multiple intensive care units in the DFW area. In this role, she has worked closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and advance evidence-based critical care practice. In addition to direct patient care, she has been involved in training and mentoring the next generation of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), supporting the professional development of new clinicians as they transition into critical care. Her work centers on delivering high-quality, compassionate care in high-acuity environments while fostering team cohesion and maintaining a strong commitment to clinical excellence.
Within Exceed, Kristin transitioned into leadership in 2022 as Site Manager for Methodist Dallas, expanding her focus to include team development and site-level performance. In 2023, she was promoted to APP Regional Director, where she now supports regional clinical operations across multiple sites. In this role, she partners with physician leaders and hospital executives to support recruitment, onboarding, clinical education, and practice optimization. Through it all, her primary focus remains on delivering high-quality, patient-centered MICU care while continuing to maintain a clinical presence at the bedside.
Outside of work, Kristin enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their two boys, introducing them to travel and new experiences from an early age—as well as cheering on the Texas Longhorns. Hook ’em Horns!
